Having recently "downsized" from a large 4 bedroomed house to a new 2 bedroomed apartment we thought that we needed some assistance in maximising the potential of our new home. I am a person who will complain if necessary; I will however with equal vigour praise those who I believe deserve my thanks. “Thank you” for all your ideas, your drive the enthusiasm you have put into our project. From the design phase through to the completion of the project Joal Interiors were excellent. They listened to our requirements and incorporated them in the design whilst advising us as to what would or would not work. Through out the build phase the the various trades carried out their work to a high standard tidying up at the end of each day so that we could continue to comfortably live in our home. The work was completed to a high standard in the planned time and we have been delighted in the transformation of our home. We have no hesitation in recommending Joal Interiors to others.

We contacted Joal Interiors through the internet, not knowing exactly what to expect from interior designers. Louise made the whole process very simple and quick and Lisa & I felt very comfortable at all times. We were able to choose the furniture we liked and not what the designers choice was, and at no point where we pressured to buy furniture or fixtures which we were not happy with. They were fully conscious of our budget, and in fact went beyond the call of duty to get prices negotiated at excellent value for money. We had a deadline of Christmas week, where the whole Joal Interiors team worked flat out to get the house to a completed standard so that Lisa & I could host the family on Christmas day. We would definitely recommend Joal Interiors to our friends and family, and look forward to them decorating our next self build house in a few years.

I found Joal in a local magazine and unusually for me decided to try them "cold". I have not regretted that decision. Their remit was to design a bedroom and reconfigure the ensuite bathroom and coordinate accordingly. Meeting Louise for the first time was a breath of fresh air. Instead of the designer telling me what was best, she listened as I described roughly my likes and dislikes, talked them through adding on any suggestions and then came up with a plan in situ. Plans were then drawn up with ideas of colour, fabric texture and advice on best value of contents for short or long term use, very unusual. A date was fixed and length of time the job would take. It was executed exactly as planned and supervised closely at all times and so much attention was taken to detail and good finishing. Jayne followed up any problems very quickly and I was very happy to leave any of the workmen in the house. The outcome is a beautiful relaxing bedroom and luxurious bathroom. Any problems or additions, they are always there to help or advise. Their secret of success must be they are a family concern and as such they all work together in a very happy union.

In the weeks coming up to Christmas JOAL worked their magic on my lounge. This was very much requested as 'man space'; somewhere I can watch the sport, catch up with my reading and generally find a bit of peace. I also asked that it have a sense of warmth and character as I didn't want it to be bland.

Jayne listened to every detail and has given me the room I really wanted. The browns and creams are balanced by some red in the curtains and between the contemporary fireplace, innovative lighting solutions and the clean-line furniture, this really is a place to feel at home in.

As the production buyer for the latest series of Hustle for BBC1 I was looking for suppliers who could deliver to our exact requirements in the shortest time possible and within a reasonable budget frame.
