Living with Teenagers - Emotional Health and Wellbeing Workshops
Managing family life for many of us is sometimes a difficult balancing act. Here in the education department we have put together a range of workshops, where parents can drop in for one session on a range of issues affecting family life.
This workshop aims to look at some of the issues you may be facing, the tasks of a teenager and some strategies to help you manage them. It will look at some of the difficult situations you can be faced with as a parent as well as ideas to contribute to a positive family life. Workshops offer the chance to share child-wellbeing concerns, to learn from others and to take away useful ideas to try at home.
New workshops coming will be:
Supporting SEN children
Developing conflict management and communication skills
Stress management
Helping a child who is anxious or stressed
Understanding mental health
There is no charge to attend these stand alone sessions - either just turn up or ring Mel Gabbi on 01753 787640 or 07825366031 to book your place. Groups will be limited to 10 people and will run for 2 hours.
Want further help after the workshops? The Touch Base Emotional Health and Wellbeing Drop In is available and staff will be pleased to see you at any of our one to one sessions at a later date. Please ask for details.
