Using traditional tools the Country Park Rangers will be teaching people how to manage and maintain the countryside by skilfully cutting back trees and shrubs helping to encourage regrowth.
This is a handy skill for anyone to learn but it is particularly useful for any new volunteer Rangers as it will be one of the many talents they will need to learn during their time as a Ranger.
If you would like to take part in this free event, meet at the Ranger Station, Beacon Country Park, at 10.30am.
Rangers will provide all the equipment and tools but don't forget to wear suitable clothing, footwear, and remember to bring a packed lunch.
The event is free and is suitable for all age groups but children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
For further information on this event, please contact the Countryside Rangers on 01695 622794 or email beacon.park@westlancsdc.gov.uk.
