Shrewsbury caravan business out to impress Spring Lambing Day visitors

Thousands of visitors attending the annual Spring Lambing Day at Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) will be able to see the latest touring caravan and motorhomes as well as newly born lambs on Sunday, March 22.

Shrewsbury’s award winning dealership Salop Leisure will have two models on display at the event at the Walford Campus, which the company is sponsoring for the first time.

“It’s our policy to take our quality products out to meet families at major events around Shropshire and Mid Wales and we are looking forward seeing new and existing customers at the Spring Lambing Day,” said Tony Bywater, Salop Leisure’s chairman. “It’s a great opportunity to introduce caravan and motorhome ownership to a new audience.”

Visitors will be hoping to get a glimpse of lambs being born, as staff keep a round-the-clock vigil and there will be a chance to see more than 90 different species of animal, ranging from dairy cattle to alpacas, meerkats and chinchillas. 

There will be also be an opportunity to take part or watch clay pigeon shooting, a treasure hunt and dog agility, vintage machinery and British Horseball Association displays. Fullwood Merlin, a robotic milking machine, will be in action throughout the day.
