Russell Lucas, director, actor, and producer is bringing his theatrical know-how to Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery for a two-day workshop on November 19 & 20.

Partnering with Arts Alive, a rural touring scheme in Shropshire and Herefordshire, who bring professional performances to village halls and other community venues, Russell’s two-day workshop will be a chance to inspire and enable local performers and writers to make their own work and bring it to fruition.

Whatever your end goal, every piece of theatre must be put through the bare bones of what is required to make it a piece of live art. Using their decades of experience, Russell Lucas, and Arts Alive Artistic Director, Hannah Prior will map out what makes a piece of theatre successful.

This two-day workshop is ideal for budding writers and performers to learn, plan, and connect with fellow theatre-makers. It’s not to be missed!

Arts Alive are pleased to also have two fully funded spaces available for this workshop for those under 25. This funding has come from Shropshire Council Arts Development Team to enable more opportunities for employment in the arts for those under 25. programmer@artsalive.co.uk for more information.
