Discounted Bikes Shropshire has donated two brand new bikes and helmets worth over £500 to The Crossbar Group.
The new bikes are being used by learners to encourage them to get active and explore the local countryside as part of their 1NSP1RE(+) & ACTUATE(+) programmes with Crossbar Alternative Provision.

Discounted Bikes Shropshire was launched this year by local entrepreneur and Dad of three, Kevin Williams. He launched the business to help families in Shropshire save money on brand-new bikes and get active.
Kevin has sold over 200 bikes since the summer and has been inundated with parents buying discounted bikes ahead of Christmas.
“The donation to Crossbar reflects our commitment to helping the local community get active,” said Kevin. “Buying a bike can be a big cost outlay, but we’re able to discount them by up to 50%, helping local people to save lots of money.”
Kevin has bought stock from bike firms that are no longer trading, passing on the discounts to his customers. Discounted Bikes Shropshire also sells accessories including helmets, locks, pumps, lights and gifts for cyclists.
“To make sure you’re completely happy with the purchase, you can give the bike a try before you buy. We are also offering a 30 day return period on unused bikes and a 12 month warranty period. Plus we offer free delivery within a 15 mile radius of Shrewsbury. We want our customers to be completely happy with their purchase so they can use it for years to come.”
