When we accidentally spill our drinks, Patrick makes us a new one :-) Compared to other pubs, it's really cozy and we love The Talbot.

The warmth and atmosphere make this a great place to have drinks with friends. It has an extensive wine list and the meals offered on special nights are splendid. And the new accommodation looks amazing.

It has such a great atmosphere and it has an amazing country feel to it. The staff and the customers are so nice and friendly and it makes your experience all the better.

Warm, friendly atmosphere and delightful staff. The food is excellent and they serve really good ale.

I have been visiting the Talbot Country Inn since it first opened and my family and I love it. We truly enjoy the traditional Sunday Lunch and the atmosphere in the winter, with the open fires roaring it is just lovely and cosy. We have also attended many of the themed nights with our littel boy, who is 20 months, and also with friends where laughter, drinking and great food are all entwined. The tapas night is a favourite and sausage night was also excellent. We have also enjoyed a taste of Italy and Greece, which were of an equally high standard. Not only do we visit frequently for dinner we have been to a 60th birthday there, which was well organised and the staff were very accommodating. Christmas Lunch was spectacular, with a great atmosphere and wonderful traditional food. If you have not yet visited the Talbot Country Inn, you are missing a real treat right on your door step. It is by far our favourite place to eat and drink in Shrewsbury.

If you want to go to a top quality country pub then The Talbot is the place to go. The overall atmosphere is warm and cosy and very relaxed. The menu is very varied and the food was both delicious and very well presented. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the service was extremely efficient. All in all a fab night and we will definitely be going back for another visit.

If you journey out of town for a meal, this is the place to go! I have eaten there several times and the food is always excellent. In fact, it's hard to choose what to have as the menu is so tempting! Looking forward to trying Sunday lunch.

Whether you're eating, drinking or both you are assured of a fine selection of beers, wines and spirits and superb food all offering excellent value.

The staff are never in your face but are always attentive, polite and sincere and always do their upmost to make sure your visit is a pleasant and enjoyable occasion.
