It all began with a handsome waiter who helped me choose - super advice given as he recalled dishes he'd enjoyed. Main course was duck confit - great but the star was my starter, scallops with pea and parsley risotto. It was Friday so we were very lucky it was piano night. The pianist is particularly good with ragtone. 20/10

The head chef is second to none, producing amazing, beautiful tasty food that makes you want to keep going back again for more. The staff are warm, friendly and always smiling, they will do anything to make sure your stay is fantastic, the bar area has a large log fire to keep you toasty in the winter! the hotel rooms are clean, welcoming and comfy and the garden is beautiful for a stroll on a summers day.
