This is my favourite Indian Restaurant in Shropshire. Shrewsbury and Telford have a number to choose from but I always come back to Saffron Cottage. Restaurant reviews are of course a personal choice, but - for me - the cuisine, choice of dishes, friendly staff and spacious restaurant are No.1. (Plenty of free parking too.)

My first time to Saffron Cottage and it was lovely. Very nice service from the off and we enjoyed a drink in the lounge area first. An extensive menu but with good descriptions that do encourage you to try something different, I think. Even my husband veered away from his staple chicken balti! All in all, a superb evening and I will be back for sure.

We had a meal at Saffron Cottage on Saturday and it was a great night out. Brilliant service and wonderful food. We have been there before but for the first time we chose Saffron Cottage Specialities rather than the traditional dishes. The 'Monkfish Relish' was our favourite - well worth a try.

We were delighted when this building was turned into an Indian Restaurant a couple of years ago. It was a breath of fresh air in the Ford area. The team, food and atmosphere are all superb. It's also nice that you're not cramped in, as can be the case in some restaurants. Highly recommended.

If you're a fan of Indian cuisine and want a complete change from the usual korma or chicken tikka then Saffron Cottage is an absolute must.

The menu is packed with loads of unique flavours and tastes that you wouldn't normally find on a menu in your typical Indian restaurant, the beer is cold and the staff are friendly.

You'll want to go back just to try something else!
