We found Dorrington Old Hall on thebestof and the recommendations made us think, "Hmm, let's try it!" So we did. And we loved it! We thought the range of dishes was excellent and left feeling happy, full and certainly more knowledgeable about Persian cuisine. People talk about Indian food, Chinese food, Italian... let's hope Dorrington Old Hall does the same for Persian food in Shropshire. It certainly ought to! A wonderful evening.

We had a buffet meal and were very pleased with the delicious food and pleasant service, both of which were second to none. I cannot eat very spicy food, however I was pleasantly surprised to find the food most palatable, whereas my wife, who loves spicy food, loved the range of flavours and taste.

I agree that the waitress was brilliant, and the chef was also very personable. The prices are very reasonable and the drinks list most extensive.

We thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Having travelled through Iran in 2010, we can say that the food at Dorrington Old Hall surpassed that experienced on our travels. Thoroughly recommended for a taste of Persia and the Cyrus empire.

The story behind this new and exciting restaurant is what makes you want it to work for the owner Lal.... Such a lovely host and fantastic chef - you should visit to hear his passionate story from being a Surgeon to living his dream of running his own restaurant.

I would highly recommend Dorrington Old Hall. The food is a real treat, the service excellent and I loved the little bottles with wild flowers on the tables. Thank you for a lovely evening.

A superb culinary experience supported by a friendly atmosphere. The range of complementary flavours for both main and sweet courses was impressive and to suit a variety of palates.

With the opportunity to eat as much or as little of each dish as you like, appetite is also satisfied. It's a pleasure to eat where there the passion that has gone into the food is both evident and genuine. We are definitely going again.

The food is fantastic and being a buffet you choose as many of the dishes you want and go back as many times as you like. The owner / chef takes you through all the dishes and explains what's in them. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing and its only £14.95 a head. Try it - you will love it!
