my dogs love it at Hampton hayes. the staff are always friendly and have a genuine love for the dogs in their care. My 2 can't wait to get out of the car when we get there. It is great peace of mind to know your pets will be well cared for when you have to leave them.
I have no hesitation in recomending Hampton Hayes Kennels to anyone who is looking for a clean, comfortable and caring place to board their dog. I regularly leave my dog with the girls at Hampton Hayes and can honestly say that I would leave her nowhere else. The place is faultless in every respect.
My dogs have stayed at many kennels over the years but now we have discovered Hampton Hayes Kennels and Cattery, we regularly take them there. The girls welcome you with a warm smile and are always very helpful. The kennels are very clean and tidy; more to the point my dogs seem very happy when I drop them off.... So that's why we keep going back.
Really nice people. good sized kennels and all of the dogs are happy and treated well. very nice scenery as well.
I had to find a cattery quickly for an old gentleman who needed respite residential care and wanted to be sure his cat was being cared for and was safe. He is now looking forward to the warmer weather when he will be able to get up to the cattery and be reunited with his beloved cat, who looks amazing and is very very happy in his new surroundings. Bev was also kind enough to take a picture of the cat that we have been able to frame, which sits in pride of place at his bedside. Definitely a little business with a huge heart.
No other kennels like it in Shropshire. What a wonderful place, it is fresh and clean, and the staff are so caring for both owner and pet. It is in a beautiful position up on the hills with wonderful views. Must be the best.
Gibbson has stayed at Hampton Hayes many times and we have no worries about him while we are away. The staff are second to none, nothing is too much trouble and the kennels is so comfortabe and clean. THEY ARE THE VERY BEST.
Great staff and great location... love the view from up there... Really nice kennels and very clean. I have used the kennels a couple of times and everything has gone great. I would highly recommend to anyone with pets.
We leave 3 little dogs with them regularly and can always go away with total peace of mind that they are really well looked after.

Hampton Hayes Kennels is the only Kennels I would leave Lucy with. The staff are friendly and the treatment the animals receive is excellent. Lucy stays there at least once a year for a week, sometimes two. I have no hesitation in recommending Hampton Hayes. Well done to Bev and her team.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional at all times. They give you a real sense that your dog will be looked after when you're not around.

Hampton Hayes Cattery is a little gem, a real find! We've not had our cat long and this is the first time we've put him in a cattery. I think it's safe to say that Murphy enjoyed his stay at Hampton Hayes. They really take wonderful care of the cats and they all get individual attention. The pens are spotlessly clean and very spacious with both inside, heated accommodation and ample outside space, with a wonderful view across the hills! I would definitely recommend this cattery 100%.
I have used Hampton Hayes Kennels for several years. The staff are very pleasant, and always remember your dog's name when booking. They always wash my dog's bed. My dog is always pleased to see the staff and always comes home fit & well. I highly recommend these kennels.
One of my dogs loves it, the other hates leaving home but seems happy there. Beds are raised, two rooms, warm! Run by dog people who really make a real fuss of the dogs. No guilt boarding kennels. Well worth the price.
They always take good care of the animals, and it's a lovely place.
We've taken our babies Pride and Sam to stay at Hampton Hayes for just for a day while property searching in the area. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.Our boys don't normally stay in kennels but I wouldn't hesitate to take them there again, maybe next time for a longer holiday. The kennels are spacious and very clean and the dogs are looked after by dog caring people, so putting your mind at rest when leaving your little family members for a few days. 10/10
Bev & Barry amaze me how they manage the farm & the kennels. The kennels are always immaculate and the attention of Bev & all her staff is perfect. They know all the dogs personally and take an interest in every way, looking after their every need. Very well done. I would never go anywhere else.
Our cat Milly has been to Hampton Hayes several times now. We are very impressed with the cattery; she has a lovely comfortable chair to lie in and soak up the fresh air, a lovely large warm area to sleep in, plenty of space to play with her toys and feathers which we take with her. Bev and her team keep the cattery spotless, Milly always comes home smelling as fresh as daisy, a true sign of how well she is cared for and her space kept clean. At home she likes a few prawns in a morning, so we take some with us and Bev willingly gives her some. Bev's very flexible opening and closing times indicate her willingness to accommodate her customers. I would recommend the cattery to anyone.
Having left our two cats at Hampton Hayes many times, we can rest assured that when we return the cats are not stessed but very happy. They are extremely well looked after and we look forward to leaving them at Hampton Hayes in the future.
My pets are my babies and I would only send them where I know they will get the same treatment as they receive at home. After viewing several local kennels and catteries I was not happy, but when I met Bev, Barry and their staff from Hampton Hayes they put us at ease straightaway. After a very pleasant holiday, where I had put my trust in their hands, I will never consider anywhere else for my pets to stay. Highly recommend this place to any pet lovers.
The owners give dedicated care to all the animals, they are conscientious and treat the animals as if they were their own pets. I wouldn't hesitate to take my beloved dog there. The dogs are walked every day twice a day. The kennels are very clean and well designed for all their needs. The kennels are set in a stunning location - taking in the view over the valley is an added bonus! It's always nice to be greeted with a friendly smile too.
We are off on holiday soon and have been really worried about leaving our dog. We have looked at a number of kennels in the area and none compare to Hampton Hayes! We went to meet the owners Bev and Barry who put us at ease straightaway. They suggested a trial run and our dog went in Saturday. By the time we collected him on Sunday he had had several walks and was allowed to play in the woodland play runs. He was really happy. Bev, Barry and their staff actually really care about the dogs and this stands out. Our dog was happily wagging his tail when we collected him. Finding a good kennel is such a relief and we will definitely be going back.
A clean, bright, happy place to leave your pets. I would recommend it to anyone. I know that I can relax when I am away as my girls are safe and happy. All their requirements are noted so I know they get their treats. A great place to holiday your pets.
We have used Hampton Hayes Kennels frequently for both short and long stays. On all occasions we were very impressed with the service and their care and friendly approach to our dog. A very reassuring factor when leaving your pet. Many thanks to the staff.
I regularly take my cat to Hampton Hayes. Tthe staff are friendly and helpful, I know my cat is cared for well, she has a warm room to sleep in and also a large area to roam in the fresh air where she is safe and has company of other cats without the contact. We always enjoy visiting the cattery and seeing the donkey and sometimes there are a couple of llamas, not to mention the wonderful views - they are breath taking. It is situated away from the main road so my cat feels safe too (my cat hates traffic - it makes her nervous and anxious). What more can I say? This cattery is perfect and I would recommend it to anyone.
My dad's dog Sophie was taken to hampton hayes after her re-homing. It didn't work out with her family. Sophie was looked after really well when she was there, and now she has a new home :)
Our dog meg loves going to Hampton Hayes kennels. It's like being home from home; she gets excited when we get near, which is very reassuring for us to leave her somewhere safe, immaculately clean, bright, spacious. She is looked after, exercised well & has a great bath, groomed to come home. Meg would recommend this place to any of her four legged friends.
These kennels are very clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and know a lot about the care of cats and dogs. They treat all of their customers as one of their own, and give them as much attention as possible. These are kennels that I would recommend to everyone who wants their cat and/or dog to be looked after by the best around.
Have used Hampton Hayes for a couple of years now and would never go anywhere esle. The staff are brillant, I could not ask for more. My dogs and cats really enjoy there frequent stays and I could not leave them anywhere else - I would rather stay at home.
BRILLIANT!! This cattery was recommended to me by my vet as some of their staff take their cats there. I would definitely use this cattery again; I have had some awful experiences at other catteries but this one has the best facilities and service. The ladies that work there are kind and helpful. You can tell they are cat lovers.

I get paid lots of compliments about my appearance and manner. It is lovely to see my friends, I feel safe and well looked after. Hampton Hayes has changed my life - I cannot thank them enough for their patience and outstanding quality of care. If you are looking for a 'ME' then visit them straightaway. If you are looking for a holiday, then get your owners to book you in.... The best hotel I know of!Hold on... my owner would like to speak to you - Well, Flossie is a great character. As a recent widow, Bev found me the right dog. Bev listened to what I needed, didn't force a dog on me, just let me take my time to choose. It was the best thing I ever did. I go out on great walks, meet lots of people and have basically been forced to be brave enough to love something again. A recommendation from the heart.
We would like to highly recommend Hampton Hayes Kennels and Cattery. As an owner of a very nervous and old dog, I was dubious about leaving him at all when we had the chance of a holiday. After speaking to somebody who recommended Hampton Hayes, we went to visit them and was instantly impressed. They have their very own 'quiet cabin' especially for dogs like ours who may feel intimidated by the younger and more livelier dogs in the main kennel. We have just returned from our holiday and our dog is fine. We would never hesistate to send him there again.
I did not think I would be able to leave my cat with anyone, but after seeing the facilities at Hampton Hayes Kennels I knew she would be having an all inclusive experience compared to my half board holiday. Once I had met Bev and Barry I was so relieved because I just knew they would treat her like a friend come to stay, rather than an animal they were being paid to look after. Would really recommend.

The thing I love most about the business, is that to the people who own and care about the animals it is more than that. The animals are treated as their own, with lots of love and attention. The Kennel assistants are kind and very attentive to the animals and always give the animals lots of attention and hugs.
The kennels are immaculate, my dogs come home clean and not smelling of "kennels". They don't have upset tummies (are fed on the best food), the staff are friendly and the dogs are walked twice a day.
I have recently adopted a dog from hampton hayes and I was very impressed withhow well run and how well the dogs are looked after. We took our new dog for a walk round the brilliant outdoor enclosed play area. I am very pleased that I chose our dog from bev's and would be more than happy to leave my dog there boarding if we ever had to.

We've just adopted Lottie the Rottie from Hampton Hayes. The people there are absolutely lovely and their affection for the animals they look after was very evident! Lottie herself settled into our home after a couple of days which, in my mind, shows that she'd had a lovely time in the kennels and wasn't really stressed. The facilities all looked clean and well looked after but what stands out in my mind was how much everyone cared.
Basically, everything that everyone else has said! Hampton Hayes IS always clean and the runs ARE brilliant and the dogs ARE always happy to be there BUT, even more importantly, Bev and ALL the staff there really make you feel like your dog is special, and they KNOW my dogs so well! I don't know how they do it but it gets 5 stars and more, and definitely gets my return bookings every time :-) I can't recommend it enough although I dont want it to get SO busy that they can't accommodate MY dogs!!!
The kennels are always immaculate. The runs are heated and all dogs have access on a daily basis to a secure fenced off orchard area where they can run free. Bev Chittem and her staff all really love dogs - it's not just a business to them, so all dogs staying there get affection as well as first class care.
Thank you Bev for making it very easy to leave my two dogs with you. They had a lovely stay and I was able to enjoy a worry-free break.
We love going to take our dog Maddie to be cared for by Bev and her Team at Hampton Hayes. We are always made welcome and special; also if we are away and need to leave Maddie for a extra day they always accommodate her.We have used these services since Maddie was 12 weeks old. She is now 4yrs old and always jumps out of the car as soon as we stop there, and we leave knowing she is well cared for.
I have adopted two middle aged dogs Cassie & Leah from the kennels 6 months ago. As I live in Lincolnshire the support and dedication of everyone I came in contact with about the dogs was fantastic. The dogs were even brought to my house by a friend of a staff member who was going to be visiting his family in Lincolnshire. Further advice was needed when they both came into season as they were told they had been neutered; the kennels were able to pay the vet bills for this. Their love and care for the animals is the best anybody could wish for.
Having boarded my dog at Hampton Hayes over the snowy period, I really cannot praise Bev and her team enough. They went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that all dogs were safe, warm and well looked after. I especially like the fact that you do not have to make an appointment to view the kennels - proving to me that the ‘bedrooms’ and exercise areas are clean and well maintained at all times. Ten out of ten from me and my dog. I will happily leave my dog there again, and would recommend anyone looking to board their dog - or cat - to go and have a look around.
Our cat, Stripes, goes to stay at Hampton Hayes a couple of times a year when we go away. He's quite a jumpy character but he knows where he is now when he goes "on holiday" and settles in well. He's always quite chilled when we return to take him home. Bev, Barry and the team do a great job with their animals.
On my dealings with Hampton Hayes Kennels I have found the staff to be loving, kind and extremely patient and helpful. The kennels were clean and spacious. All the dogs were looked after in a friendly and patient environment. I would highly recommend the kennels to everybody.

Our two cats stayed at Hampton Hayes Cattery for the first time this week. The facilities are wonderful, and Bev was excellent - she took the time to find out about the personalities of both cats, their feeding habits, and how they interact together. I was confident that they would be well cared for during their stay, and I was not disappointed. I could not have asked for better care for my two much loved cats and can highly recommend Hampton Hayes Cattery.
We have recently boarded our Labrador at Hampton Hayes Kennels. We were very happy with all aspects of boarding there. The staff were friendly and helpful, they answered any questions we had. The kennels were very clean and our dog settled in well; also he benefited from having exercise in the morning and afternoon. We have no hesitation in using the Kennels again. Many Thanks.

It's the details that make the difference for a dog in kennels and by careful observation the staff here can measure what the individual needs. It may be a group exercise for friendly dogs in the play area or plenty of lead walks around the fabulous countryside surrounding the kennels or maybe just a gentle cuddle and a one-to-one snuggle session!
Daisy has been to Hampton Hayes for 2 breaks and on both occasions was treated like their own pet. She came home spotlessly clean from the 1st visit after a surprising bath [well, she didn't know it was coming]. Her 2nd visit was post injury and Bev and her Team were excellent nurses ensuring my girl was in fine fettle and ready to have the bandage off when I took her to the vet. Grateful thanks from both of us.

I would highly recommend hampton hayes kennels - our labrador Kenny has stayed here a number of times and we are always impressed. The staff are friendly and the kennels are always clean. It clearly shows when we collect Kenny that he has been very well cared for. He will be returning to his doggie weekend countryside retreat in May!

Started using the kennels this year (2008) and have left our Choc Lab their during half term in February, most of August and a few day at Christmas. The staff were always on hand to receive the dog and dealt with any requests we had. I have always found the kennels very clean and well presented and would happily recommend them to any dog owner.
Hampton Hayes Kennels should be highly recommended. Fantastic holiday home for cats and dogs. Our two nervous pets (especially our collie dog who usually hates being left with strangers) really settled in thanks to the staff there, ensuring they had the best possible time. Bev and her team have been looking after Jasmine since they opened and I can not fault the care they give my very large & old dog. Jasmine has her own special needs and Bev has been able to cope with them all, usually better than I do! Her team are so good that Jasmine has on one occasion even run away and ended up at the kennels. You can't get a better recommendation than that! Thanks for everything
Our Springer Honey has stayed at Hampton Hayes several times. We are always very impressed with the level of care Honey receives. The kennels are immaculate, the surrounding area stunning and the team look after her as if she were their own. She comes back to us a healthy, happy and well exercised dog. I would like to recommend Hampton Hayes as an excellent Boarding Kennels for my lovely Doberman dog Phoebe. The care she receives from the Kennels is superb.Phoebe is a high maintenance dog who can often get anxious even when at home. Bev and her team are very considerate and understand the concerns of owners when leaving their loved pets at kennels. Pheobe always goes into the kennels with her tail wagging - a good sign I would say!
We recently used Hampton Hayes boarding kennels for our dog Zeus. We were recommended by a relative who also take their dog there. I would like to say how impressed we were right from the inital stages of enquiry to collecting Zeus after his stay! Bev and her staff were very helpful and took time in establishing our dogs requirments. Zeus had a great time with all his "new friends" and loved his 2 walks a day! Thank you once again and we certainly will be returning with Zeus in the future.
We have now boarded our two Great Danes, Misty and Milo three times and found Bev and staff are exceptional in their care and attention.The dogs are well cared for and loved with two walks a day and much personal attention. We have used Hampton Hayes Boarding Kennels on a few occasions now, sometimes at short notice. Bev has been very accommodating, and our dog enjoys his stays with her. You can tell that Bev is a dog lover, and you can go away knowing that your dog is in good hands. Thoroughly recommend these boarding kennels. whenever we go away we use Hampton Hayes boarding kennels. They are always accomadating and understanding to our pets needs, so that we are able to go away, confident in the knowledge that Saffi (our Boxer) is well looked after.
Hampton Hayes is "our Megʼs" country holiday retreat! The staff are always very welcoming and are noticeably caring and interested in each dog. Our dog, Rosie, has been to Hampton Hayes several times already and we have been very pleased with the way she has been looked after. She comes out looking fit and healthy and we would have no hesitation recommending Hampton Hayes to anyone. Its such a beautiful spot I wouldnt mind staying there for a week or two myself!!
I would just like to say that in my opinion Hampton Hayes Boarding Kennels is truly exceptional. On arrival, Bella (my very nervous dog) was greeted with the warmest of receptions and whilst I was invited to look around Bella was taken for a woodland walk. I found the accommodation to be hygienic yet comfortable and homely, with warm bedding and even underfloor heating! On the menue were only the highest quality of foods and providing for Bellaʼs food intolerances was no problem at all. Having left Bella in the capable hands of Bev and her team I returned to find a happy, healthy confident dog. Bella had enjoyed 2 walks a day and had had the opportunity to stretch her legs in the woodland runs. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE KENNELS WITHOUT QUESTION AND WOULD TAKE BELLA TO NO OTHERS.
Shadow and Bella have stayed at Hampton Hayes on a number of occasions and I would like to say how impressed I am. The dogs always seem very happy and content arriving at the kennels and always happy and content leaving. It is like a real holiday for them and the fact that they are walked twice a day as well as having a play area is brilliant. Bev & Barry and staff are very friendly and are absolutely on the ball, Bev imparticular will notice any change in the dogs and seems to have an indepth knowledge of all her charges and any needs, wants or changes since she has seen them last. Real people with a love for animals, not just out to make money. Ten out of ten.
My two dogs Miesha & Murphy have stayed with Bev & Barry several times and have never been upset about having to go, infact they cant wait to get out of the car! i love the fact that all the staff are very helpful and truly adore animals, They are always keen to go that extra mile to ensure your beloved pet has the most enjoyable stay. My dogs are quite boystrous but this is never seen as a problem as they are put in the play pen to get rid of all their energy. When i collect them they always come away with tails wagging and shiny coats so I would just like to say a huge thank you to Bev, Barry and their team. Keep up the good work and see you soon!
I have two wonderful beagle dogs. They are 5 years old and have never been in kennels, mainly because whenever I go on holiday they come to. This year I have needed to go into hospital on several occasions so the dogs had to go into kennels. Hampton Hayes was recommended to me.As I love my dogs very much I was obviously worried about how they would get on. My worries were completely unfounded. It it obvious that Bev and her team love the dogs that they care for. My troublesome two seemed to be completely at home in the kennels and came back looking slimmer and fitter because of all the exercise that they have had.Following each subsequent visit to the kennels they have returned happy and well. I have already recommended Hampton Hayes to a number of people who I know and would certainly recommend them to anyone reading this review.
Seriously good kennels - clean, airy, spacious but the most important bit is the truly personal level of care the dogs receive. All the staff are dog lovers and they really care about their charges. Bev, in particular, goes out of her way to ensure the dogs are well cared for. For example, as you walk into the kennels you hear music playing to soothe the dogs, you can see racks of different dog foods, dog treats etc. If you happen to remark on a particular dog youʼll get an instant potted history, thatʼs how interested they are in the dogs.I happily leave my dog Bonny there, knowing that sheʼll get all the things a dog wants - fuss, exercise and a comfy place to sleep.
I cant praise Bev, Barry and staff enough, we have a 3 year old german shepherd who is quite nervouse and can be aggresive, they have been wonderful !!! Archie will soon be going on his 4th visit, he loves going and settles down as soon as he arrives,his kennel is very spacious and everywhere is spotlessly clean, all i can say is its 5* accommodation and treatment, i cant thank them enough for giving me complete peace of mind with the care Archie recievs many thanks from Karen & Neil (Oswestry)
I have used the kennels at Hampton hayes several times for my two dogs. They love going there and quite happily go off with Bev or one of her friendly staff to the kennel. They are always very well looked after and enjoy their walks while they are there. Every one who works there are genuine dog lovers and they all have the dogs best interests and welfare at heart. My dogs love it there and it great to know I can go away without having to worry about them. Iwould recomend it to anyone. Thank you to every one there.

Our dog Boris had never been in kennels and was 2 years old before we decided to try any. We chose Hampton Hayes as it had been recommended to us. We were initially worried about leaving Boris but didnʼt need to be at all. He really enjoys being there and is always pleased to see Bev when we arrive! When we pick him up itʼs as if heʼs never been away from us. His behaviour doesnʼt change and thereʼs no sulking! This proves to us he must be very well looked after. we have boarded our dogs at the kennels several times and found Bev,barry and the staff to be very friendly.The kennels are very clean no matter what time of day that you arrive.We have left the dogs at several kennels within the area and find this to be the best,the views from the kennels are stunning and with the dog play area we know that the dogs will be contented while we are away.thanks a lot see you in May
Sarah & Ray 16th March 2008I am so glad i chose Hampton Hayes Catteries and Kennels as we needed to go away on a long business trip, my dear labrador wanted the right environment and this place was It! I was very impressed with the safe enclosed play areas for more time spent outdoors. The condition of the pens seemed imaculate, the views are pretty spectacular also. this place is pretty special and my lab is booked in for the end of the year.
hello I would just like to say what a great place... we were a bit unsure about putting our dalmatian into a kennel, but when we got there bev showed us around the kennels and mentioned what happens on a normal day, also if your dog has any special requirments or special food then you can leave it with them to sort it all out. We are please that our dog will be happy why we are away. will be going away soon and bev will be getting a phone call.. thanks
