Been here many times great food and service, easy to find and clean restaurant
My favourite Indian restaurant in the whole of Shropshire. Always got a buzz to it (great place for a celebration meal), great food and efficient, friendly staff. A really good night out... Definitely one of "the best".
We had a lovely meal at Cafe Saffron recently. The food was first class. Thank you for a great experience.
I went to Cafe Saffron with a gang of friends. I'd never been before but had read its great reviews on the best of shrewsbury, so it was only a matter of time! It turned out to be a real fun evening full of top food and top service. I have to be honest - I don't know how the kitchen coped, the restaurant was that busy. But they did, and a good night was had by one and all! Many thanks to the Cafe Saffron team and I'm sure to be back soon.
You HAVE to try this restaurant! I've eaten at quite a few Indians - when I lived in London plus across the Midlands - and Cafe Saffron is well up there. Top notch food, plus it's a friendly and fun night out. Whoever owns it runs a tight ship and we wanted for nothing - great, attentive service despite being heaving. Would happily recommend this restaurant.
If I say Cafe Saffron is 'the jewel in the crown' of Shrewsbury, is that too corny?! But it's true. A real gem of an Indian restaurant, from the warm welcome to the service and of course the food. Tremendous dishes, many unique to Cafe Saffron, I believe. No wonder the owner, Abdul, won Shropshire's Curry Chef of the Year.
Was up visiting friends in Shrewsbury and we went to Cafe Saffron. We had a ball. The place was so busy, from couples to large parties, yet the service was still great and the food wonderful. My starter - spiced chicken in a Bangladesh pancake (I think?) - was the best starter I've ever had in an Indian. Living in London, we have a huge range of restaurants to choose from but I haven't had a laugh in one as much as I did in Cafe Saffron! Not for a long time. The perfect antidote to heavy workloads and long hours.
I have been to Cafe Saffron several times now and they never fail to impress - the food is always superb and the service brilliant. I cannot speak highly enough of them, and would recommend a visit there to anyone - even the English meals are well cooked and delicious!!
I have been a VERY regular customer to Cafe Saffron for over 7 years now and can honestly say that this is the best indian restaurant not only in the county but the whole country. I feel it has the complete package of top quality food, excellent service combined with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are second to none, they always great with a smile, they are generous and nothing is too much trouble. I treat my children (5 and 7 yrs) there occasionally and they love the food and the experience. The team spoils them rotten! I would recommend Cafe Saffron to anyone - couples, families with children, large groups, anyone!! Keep it up lads and I'll see you soon!!! Mr Fox (P.S. No, I dont work there!)
this is our favourite curry house. we have never had a bad meal and the service is great
Been coming here for a few years now, never disappointed. Fantastic food and friendly owners and staff. Best in the whole county. Highly recommended.
Ever since I was introduced to Café Saffron, about 4 years ago, I have been coming back again and again. The selection of food is excellent. Every dish I have tried has been beautifully prepared, full of flavour and of the highest quality. The staff at Café Saffron are friendly, polite and efficient. Your whole experience, from start to finish, will be a breath of fresh air compared to other Indian restaurants in Shrewsbury. If, like me, you like to step into the danger zone, then I can highly recommend you try the Naga Murchi. It is incredibly spicy, but full of flavour; it is not for the faint hearted! If you haven't already guessed, I really enjoy my visits to Café Saffron. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is well worth a visit and you won't regret it!
Fantastic food, a great list of specials plus many more dishes, always cooked well. ALL of the staff are friendly and efficient - a great atmosphere but you should book to make sure of a table as they are very busy. Try it - you wont be disappointed.
Just had a great evening at Caff Saff with Ray and Mo - this is by far the best Indian Restaurant in Shrewsbury
Always first class service. We are regulars because we have never had a bad meal there. The staff are very friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. The menu is varied and they are always adding new dishes for you to try. I would not hesitate to recommend Cafe Saffron - it is the best Indian restaurant in Shrewsbury.
First class food, friendly staff, excellent surroundings. The staff go out of their way to produce exactly what the customer would like. Good take-away service too. The BEST in Shrewsbury by far.
My favourite Indian Restaurant in Shrewsbury. In fact, in the whole country! Not only is the food superb but the management are full of courtesy and enthusiasm and clearly love providing a great service. Which is why people go back time and time again, no doubt. Cafe Saffron has a number of dishes I haven't been able to find anywhere else, so you don't have to settle for the "traditional" bhunas and jalfrezis; although they are delicious, why not try one of the chef's murghis or tarkaris?! Definitely a fun, tasty night out in Shrewsbury.
Fantastic!! The food is tasty and plentiful and the service is second to none. I fully recommend Cafe Saffron to all - you will be hard pressed to find an equal in the local area.
Food: - Absolutely amazing, I would give them 5 out of 5 for every time I've been there. If you are not keen on a lot of spice etc, they will alter all meals for your taste. Their meals are full of flavour, with plenty of everything e.g. meat and sauce. There is just the right amount of choice on the menu. We did not have to await ages for our food but it was not rushed either, though they actually ask if you are ready for your next course. We found that the portion sizes are more than value for money, e.g. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 naan breads, one rice, bottle of Chianti and 2 bottles of water and of course two desserts all for £38.00. They do a special Gourmet offer on Sundays - £9.95 for 5 courses. The staff are always friendly and make you feel at home. I would definitely advise anyone looking for a decent Indian meal to try out this restaurant.
Excellent food and very good service with some nice personal touches. Menu provides a vast array of different choices - it took us sometime to decide which was the best for us! Keep it up, we'll visit you again when we're next down from Manchester. Dave and Margaret
