Far too much fun is had learning French with Suzi that calling it a lesson just doesn't do it justice. We learn in a group too adds to the fun and we have all progressed impressively. I can't recommend her high enough. She teaches more than just French so If you've been thinking of learning a language give Suzi a call. You won't regret it.
Un Professeur Magnifique des langues de l'Europe - Suzi is, of course, obviously & charmingly feminine but, as you will learn in no time at all through her lessons, French Professeurs are always "masculine". Learning French with her & Jon and another couple is a constant and eagerly anticipated joy. PS If you need a confidence boost and/or a de-stress Suzi's skills as a Bach Flower Remedy Therapist can really help. Suspend any rationalist misgivings - in Suzi's hands this therapy truly works.

I have been learning Spanish and French with Suzi for 2 1/2 years. Before I went to her I wasn't that keen on languages, but 2 years later I now love them. Suzi always makes the lessons so much fun, but at the same time full of learning. She is currently helping me with my GCSE's, and I definitely have improved grades. I always feel welcomed. As well as teaching, John & Suzi Rixon are very experienced in company team building events and role playing. They are reliable and reasonable in price for all the enjoyment they bring. They are both great actors and like to encourage constant audience participation. Suzi and John bring great characterisation and this partly due to Suzi's teaching of 4 foreign languages!!
I have been learning Spanish with Suzi for over 3 years now. She makes the lessons so enjoyable and you learn at your own pace so you don't have to keep up with other people. You learn everything from scratch, so you are able to read, write, speak and understand the language. My weekly homework is structured and always fun to do and a source of amusement. I have used my Spanish on holiday, ordering food, drinks, etc., all the important things! (and shopping...). Also leaving thank you notes, which is always appreciated. This is learning as it should be! Always fantastic fun with lots of laughs but with a structured approach and excellent resources that make it easy to see how you are progressing. I can't recommend Suzi as a teacher highly enough for language students of any level.
I had two motives for learning Spanish - to live in Spain and to work in the country. I needed Spanish conversation but also Spanish grammar, as my aim was to teach English to Spanish children and adults. I have been learning Spanish with Suzi for almost two years. Not only has she given me the confidence to speak the language, but also to further my career as a language teacher in Spain. Before Suzi I attended Spanish lessons at a local college. Although these provided a basic knowledge of Spanish, they were restricted to simple holiday conversation. Unfortunately, due to the wide range of ability in the classes, I often came away with too many unanswered questions. However, all these have now been answered and explained thanks to Suzi! Suzi's lessons are varied to include speaking and listening, grammar and often a 'fun quiz'. She always gives that bit extra to motivate after a day at work and get the best out of us! Without Suzi, I could not have lived my dream.
After six months of the usual mass Spanish classes, I decided it wasn't for me! Despite passing 'O' level English with relative ease, I hadn't a clue what a verb was let alone conjugate it! The only way I was going to get even a basic grip of Spanish was by one to one tuition. I have no idea how I found Suzi - but what a find it was. Along with two others from the original Spanish classes, we went to Suzi every week for about 18 months. The classes were always structured to our needs based upon our ability & Suzi always made them fun by adding her own unique style. I now live in Spain & thanks to Suzi it has given me the confidence to go out & speak to the locals! Although my Spanish has greatly improved since living in Spain, I still receive regular homework by email from Suzi which I find very beneficial & she always has time for an improvised lesson whenever I'm in the UK. If you are looking for a first rate Spanish tutor then look no further than Suzi as you won't find anyone better
I've been studying French for 18 months and making good and steady progress through Suzi's expert tuition, patience and humour. I hope to tackle Spanish in the New Year if Suzi can take the strain! My children are also learning Italian with Suzi and appreciate the way Suzi makes the lessons fun.
My wife and I planned a holiday in Italy and thought it would be a good idea to learn some of the language before we went. We had several lessons from Suzi which were really good fun, nothing like the stuffy language lessons we remembered from school. What we were able to learn in such a short time, gave us the confidence to speak to the locals in their own language and added a whole new dimension of enjoyment to our holiday. Once we have booked our next holiday to Italy,we intend to go back to Suzi and learn a bit more.

Suzi has been teaching my son Spanish through his GCSE years and as a result he wanted to continue this after he left school. Her approach is very friendly and inspiring and he has really progressed as a result. Suzi now teaches him music theory too; such is her effectiveness and influence, I don't even have to remind him to do his homework!!
I never realised that learning a new language could be such FUN! Lessons are not only intellectually stimulating and quite demanding, they are delivered with such enthusiasm it is impossible not to enjoy working hard. A more competent and interesting teacher would be hard to find. Thank you, Suzi!
