These well-loved characters have been asked to help highlight the Sheffield Farmers’ Market on Thursday 27 August in Barkers Pool.  By handing out free samples of the different products you can buy at the Sheffield Farmers’ market, and letting people get up close to some real Shetland ponies, it is hoped that people will be enticed to wander from Fargate up to Barkers Pool to browse the selection of fresh local produce on offer at the market.

Bo Peep and Molly will start giving out the goodies from 11am near the Wheel of Sheffield at the top of Fargate, and the ponies, (with their handlers) will also be located there for patting and stroking.

Over twenty of Sheffield’s producers, growers and farmers will have stalls offering customers a delicious selection of local delights including locally reared meats, home-made jams and preserves, cheeses, fresh coffee, pancakes and lots more to tantalise your taste buds too.  And the Farmers’ Market doesn’t just offer edible delights, you will find products including locally grown plants and locally made soaps on offer as well. The market starts at 9am and finishes at 4:30pm and is held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month on Barkers Pool (in between John Lewis and Sheffield City Hall) in Sheffield City Centre.
