The recent freezing weather has prevented many of the regular refuse bin collections around Salisbury, but Salisbury Council have assured residents that services are being restarted where possible.
Some areas more easily accessible will have bin collection services over the next few days, as Council workers catch up with the backlog. Salisbury residents are urged to leave their bins outside if their household waste is due to be collected yesterday, the day before or today.
However it won't be possible for the large refuse lorries to reach all areas due to the weather conditions, especially on minor and more rural roads, and these services will be resumed when possible.
Collections of recyclables, plastic, cardboard and garden waste continue to remain suspended. People are being asked to keep hold of any of these types of uncollected waste and put it out again at the next regular collection.
