www.cscarts.wordpress.com – Sacred Trinity Church will be opening its doors on Tuesday lunchtimes and running workshops for people who would like to turn their ideas into art.
Chapel Street Community Arts (CSCA) will be running sessions in the church over ten weekly sessions, starting on Tuesday 24th Jan, where artist Mark Feem will teach participants how to develop their ideas for art and create new work.
CSCA Coordinator, Chris Doyle told us; “Some people’s impression of art is that it’s for other people, but it’s not. Anybody can make art, and these workshops are for everyone, regardless of their ability. Mark has lots of experience of making work, and lots to offer people who want to be creative.”
People taking part will also be able to exhibit their work in the church, as Chris went on the explain; “The church has regular exhibitions, and it would be great if the exhibitions included work created by people at the sessions, but we won’t put pressure on people to exhibit. We just want to offer people the chance to enjoy themselves and maybe learn something new.”
Activities will take place at the beautiful and historic Sacred Trinity Church, Chapel Street, Salford, Tuesdays 12.30 – 1.30pm, weekly, from 24th Jan 2012.
Only £1 per session!
