Il Marchigiano at the Plum Pudding aims to bring a real taste of Italy to discerning customers from Rugeley and the wider area.
Il Marchigiano, otherwise known as Giuseppe Iaconi, was born and raised in a small town in Le Marche, a beautiful region on the eastern side of central Italy, between the Adriatic Sea and the high Apennine mountains.
He grew up with cooking rooted in the peasant tradition, with delicious home-made food whose recipes had been passed down from generation to generation.
His ambition now is to create this same unique and stunningly delicious food for his customers, using the best ingredients, and his wealth of knowledge and experience.
The restaurant's menu includes a wide choice of dishes, including chef's specials and a number of vegetarian options. You can find Il Marchigiano at The Plum Pudding on the Rugeley Road, Armitage, just outside Rugeley.
The canalside location is popular all year round with customers enjoying summer 'Al Fresco' dining on the external decked area. Also throughout the summer The Plum Pudding fire up the barbeque on Sundays which always generates a great atmosphere. The Plum Pudding provides a warm welcome to all, with families well catered for.
The Plum Pudding can also cater for wedding receptions, parties and business meetings. The ample free parking and free WiFi make The Plum Pudding an ideal venue for a range of events and functions. Live entertainment is provided fortnightly on Friday evenings.
Monthly Show Cooking Demonstrations including 3 course meal for £12.95 are delivered by Giuseppe where customers can see how the meals are created and sample the dish being demonstrated. Always friendly, social and enjoyable evenings.
