Rugeley Leisure Centre has been named as one of the top leisure centres in the whole country in a national industry-standard assessment.
The team working at the leisure centre in Burnthill Lane has triumphed in a national quality award called Quest, which examines more than 20 elements of top-quality leisure provision including customer care, community initiatives and the presentation and housekeeping of the building.
The assessment consisted of mystery visits and a two-day on-site assessment and saw a huge score of 90% for Rugeley Leisure Centre, making it the joint fifth ranked facility out of 900 in the UK.
The leisure centre underwent a major refurbishment in 2008 which provided a new swimming pool and fitness suite.
