On Friday 19th November Cannock Chase MP Aidan Burley officially opened the new Home Comforts shop in Rugeley.
Home Comforts is an initiative of Chase Council for Voluntary Service in partnership with Staffordshire County Council. It collects and sells unwanted items at cut prices to disadvantaged families across Cannock Chase and Lichfield Districts.
After being shown around the new shop, Aidan cut the customary cake to mark the opening of the new store based at Riverside Industrial Estate.
The opening follows on only a few weeks after Mr Burley’s volunteering at Home Comforts where he spent the day delivering furniture to homes across Cannock Chase.
The store can be found at Unit 1 of the Riverside Industrial Estate, Power Station Road in Rugeley and is open 10am-3pm Friday to Tuesday.
