Rugby Big Christmas lights Switch on 28th November 2010
Getting into the Christmas spirit in Rugby this year is going to be easy as X-Factor star Sean Rumsey and Neighbours actor Sam Clark (Ringo to his fans), prepare to officially start Christmas in Rugby with the traditional switching on of the Christmas lights.
Rugby is getting ready for a day of non-stop fun for the whole family on the 28th November. Shoppers and visitors to Rugby will be treated to performances from The Big Help Academy singers, AllSkas, The Beatlegs, Sam Clark and the Girl Band P5.
Rugby's panto cast will be appearing plus traditional Christmas carols from the Salvation Army choir.
The kids are not forgotten either as Santa and his Reindeer will be there along with a whole host of activies including static bird displays, live reindeer, new skill and circus workshop culminating in a huge firework display. For the romantics amongst you, how about a horse and carriage ride though the town.
Don Williams, Mayor of Rugby, will be switching the Christmas lights on at approx 5pm.
I don't think there is a better way to start your Christmas celebrations, so why not come along and bring the whole family.
