Show your support for Cancer Research and come along to a charity Zumbathon® event next weekend in Rugby!

 

Local supporter Becki Caulton is hosting a 3 hour Zumbathon® event in aid of Cancer Research UK on Sunday 30th January 2011.

 

The charity event will be taking place at Warwickshire College's Sports Hall on Technology Drive, Rugby, between 12 noon - 3pm on Sunday.

 

Launched just a year ago, Zumba® fitness is a new to the UK but has quickly become a popular keep-fit activity. The fun workout combines a wide range of international music and dance styles, promising to get you shaking and shimmying!

 

Becki, along with a team of fully qualified Zumba® instructors will lead the challenge, which they hope will raise at least £3,000.

 

The event will include a range of exciting performances, including:

 

  • Bateria Acid Samba Drummers
  • Pole Dancing and Burlesque by Bliss Dance Fit
  • DoDo Bellydancers
  • Karen and Ellwood from Nottingham Dancing New York Salsa

 

There will also be a range of stalls:

 

  • Lynndeeloo Facepainting for Children
  • Sweet Stall with Candyfloss
  • Caribbean Food
  • Book Stall
  • Karen's Cosmetics
  • Makeovers and Nails by Sadie

 

There will also be a raffle, with a wide range of prizes kindly donated by local individuals and businesses, including two Warwick Castle entrance tickets, a 315 voucher from La Casa Loco Mexican restaurant in Rugby, a giant cupcake cake and ladies and gents watches from Sekonda and Seksy wristwear. To the point Tattoo have also donated a prize to this worthwhile event in Rugby.
