Race for life 2012 is coming to Rugby in July and you still have time to register for one of the biggest charity events in the country.

The Cancer Research UK 5k fun run is now been running for nearly 20 years and has grown to see more than 240 events being held nationally.

Since that first event in 1994, more than six million participants have raised almost £460 million to fund vital cancer research from over 4,000 doctors, nurses and researchers to help more and more people beat cancer.

Many people take part in the run to honour a loved one’s memory or in celebration for surviving their own cancer experience. But anyone is welcome to take part to achieve the goal of raising more vital funds to combat cancer.

Cancer Reasearch UK have set themselves 10 ambitious goals to prevent and reduce the number of people suffering with cancer – which currently sees one person told every two minutes in the UK - as well as improve early diagnosis and improve treatments and survival rates.

If you want to play your part, and have fun at the same time, then why not sign up for the Rugby 5k event ,which will take place on Sunday July 15th at Rugby School? You can run, jog or walk the course and enjoy the day.
