Pub fights back to save owners

Bookmark and Share

The George inn at Babraham (on the way to Cambridge) has been building quite a stir within the local community.

Local pup owners Caren and Stuart have owned the pub under the Greene King name since February, Greene King have decided not to continue their lease at the George and take it back into the Greene King name.

Locals in the area have started a petition to "save" the pub and keep it local. Many local customers argue that Stuart and Caren have done a great job on turning the pub around and it is now a local hub for the 200+ locals in the area and a large footfall of travellers.

many worry that taking the pub back will lower the standards of service and food and will inevitably stop business dead. Ontop of the many local evening events such as "The Georgy porgy pudding club" and the seafood night's, the George inn has hosted The Big Babraham bash which saw hundreds of people spend a warm summer night with bouncy castles, BBQs and bands.
