Christmas for the local business

Bookmark and Share

Christmas shopping can be a hard task to manage and the temptation to hop online and order everything from the comfort of your own sofa is becoming harder and harder to resist.
So what does this mean for the local shop?
Well the key for business owners looking to capitalise on the Christmas rush is to be inventive and interesting by selling a unique service or product or experience you can’t get online.
Consumers should always be aware that they do take some risks leaving everything to Royal mail to sort out. The last thing anyone wants is to be getting prezzies for January.
It’s also fair to say in my experience once you get rid of shipping costs etc. you can find better deals locally than you can online. Granted that’s not the case every time and in these tough times it is expected that people are out for the best price now more than ever.
A great way of reducing the Christmas Whollop on the Wallet is to get a voucher card for someone to use locally. A few free dog training sessions for someone with their new Christmas pup (A dog is for life and not just for X-mas) or a voucher for a slap up meal at Palazzo can go a lot further than that £30 candle holder your not sure they will like.
Have a little think about it and why not check out the offers page to see if anything grabs you!
