In June, Whitworth will formally recognise one of its greatest, but largely forgotten, sons.

At Whitworth Town Council’s Annual General Meeting Councillor David Barnes was re-elected by Town Council members as Mayor of Whitworth for the municipal year ahead. Councillor Barnes will be supported in his role by his wife, Councillor Lynda Barnes.
