In June, Whitworth will formally recognise one of its greatest, but largely forgotten, sons.

At Whitworth Town Council’s Annual General Meeting Councillor David Barnes was re-elected by Town Council members as Mayor of Whitworth for the municipal year ahead. Councillor Barnes will be supported in his role by his wife, Councillor Lynda Barnes.

Make sure you attend the meeting aiming to deliver local people with more information about the proposed Adult Learning Centre.
