Willows, Wags and Whiskers is a state of the art, purpose built Boarding Kennels and cattery nestled in the hills above Rossendale. It also incorporates small animal and bird housing, a pet shop with various pet supplies and a livery yard and stables.
This fabulous business has everything that your pet could possibly need to ensure a comfortable stay whilst you are away from home. Each pet is treated with the utmost of care and attention and with you and your pet's interest at heart.
With immaculate accommodation and fabulous facilities you won't find anywhere in the area better for your pets stay. In the last couple of years the business has expanded further with an additional kennels built specifically for anxious or older dogs, those on medication or puppies that need a quieter space.
Deborah and her team fully undestand the needs and requirements of animals with specific needs and everything will be discussed when you arrive at the beginning of your dogs stay as to maintain a routine as much as possible.
Owned and managed by Deborah Ainsworth and husband Chris, Willows, Wags and Whiskers was set up as a farm diversification and has grown from strength to strength since opening in the summer of 2009.
With a background working, caring and breeding animals you can be sure that your pet is in safe hands. Having trained at Myerscough College Deborah has an in depth understanding of the welfare of animals from breeding through to care and nutrition and is also qualified as an animal first aider.
Services
At Willows, Wags and Whiskers the aim is to ensure that your pet is happy and comfortable whilst you are away. All animals receive all of the care and attention that you would expect of the "best" boarding kennels and cattery in the area. Willows, Wags and Whiskers provide a quality of care that is second to none!
Now incorporating weekly veterinary surgery for vaccinations and neutering - Scout Neutering Clinic now operates a weekly drop in clinic at the kennels. Brian Heal B.Vet. Med MRCVS has specialised in neutering since 1998 and the facility is available between 4.00pm and 6.30pm on Wednesdays.
Micro chipping is available for just £10 and vaccinations from £28.
Boarding Kennels and Cattery
With outstanding facilities including catering for individual circumstances, feeding routines, walks, play and welfare, Willows, Wags and Whiskers firmly believe that they are the boarding kennels and cattery with the best facilities that you will find anywhere in the County.
Boarding Kennels
Dogs in the care of Willows, Wags and Whiskers have regular exercise and along with your permission will also be let off lead to run in the highly secure fenced enclosure.
Kennels are large and completely indoor covered with a sleeping area and and external area so that your dog can exercise it's legs even whilst in the kennels. All kennels are heated and covered by a full CCTV security system to give you additional peace of mind.
Food is of the highest quality and we can cater for special dietary requirements wherever necessary.
Cattery
We all know that cats have the highest of expectations when it comes to care. All of "guests" get the comforts of home in the luxurious, heated cattery. The cattery is comfortably furnished with toys to keep your treasured pet happy and entertained during his/her stay. Best quality foods are used at all times as with all our residents.
Dogs and cats receive the highly acclaimed Royal Canin pet food as part of their stay with Willows, Wags and Whiskers. If however your pet has a special dietary requirement this will also be accomodated and this can be discussed when you call. The aim of Willows, Wags and Whiskers is to ensure your pet is happy and content - infact some of the animals are so comfortable that they are often reluctant to leave!
Small Animal Care & Bird Housing
Willows, Wags and Whiskers extend their quality of care down to the smallest animals. Catering for rabbits, guineau pigs, hamsters and even budgies! Call and ask for further details should you need more information.
Livery Yard & Stables at Willows, Wags and Whiskers.

Pet Food and Pets Supplies
To complete the services that are available at Willows, Wags and Whiskers you will find a range of high quality and specialist pet foods and pet supplies including Royal Canin for your cats and dogs and grooming products. All food supplied comes with reference and nutrition guides and information meaning you know what is in their food and how it can help improve on their condition and health. Pony Parties
If you are loking for something just that little bit different for your childs birthday party this is the perfect solution. Pony parties last for an hour and a half and all prices include invitations, party, party bags and party food. All you need to do is provide the children and the cake. Pony Parties do have a cake maker to hand should you need one which can also be individually personalised with a pony theme for your child.
Pony Parties are perfect for children from 4 years to approx 11 years old and are ideal for the pony fanatic. The parties are hosted by beautiful miniature American Horses who have a fantastic temperament and thoroughly enjoy helping to make your party fun! Activities at the party include musical mats (with the ponies), grooming sessions which include glitter spray and glitter hoof oil and of course the all important cuddles!
Party bags are also themed with pony related products, right down to the bag itself. Parties are for a minimum of 6 children and a maximum of 15 and are an amazing £15 per child all inclusive of the above.

I get my dog food from here approx every 6 weeks. It's excellent food by Royal Canin so I know that my dog is being fed the best. Deborah knows her products but also charges a very competitive price. I booked a pony party for my daughter on recommendation from Kathryn at thebestof. It was brilliant! Everything was taken care of from the party invitations and party bags through to the food. All the children loved it, particularly the competition for the best decorated pony - they all loved the glitter gel (too much!!) There was lot's more interactive fun like musical mats with the ponies and children and I am already thinking of booking for next years party too. Olivia thought it was brilliant and I've told so many people. Thanks!

Barney stayed at Willows, Wags and Whiskers for the first time last weekend. We had heard about the new kennels from a friend who had recommended it highly. Upon arrival we were impressed by the brand new accomodation, open fields and friendly staff. The kennels are very clean, spacious and the staff have an evident enthusiasm and affection for their guest. Barney seemed very happy to be left here and when we picked him up, he was happy to see us but also, evidently sad to say goodbye to his new family. We would recommend Willows, Wags and Whiskers for it's friendly, quality and great value service. Barney will cretainly be paying a visit again soon. Thanks Deborah.
I was called away on urgent business a couple of weeks ago and knew I would be away for 2-3 days so I sent my african grey parrot "Sid" for a short stay at Willows, Wags and Whiskers, as he cannot be left alone for more than 12 hours. I found their service second to none and even at short notice was accommodated quickly and Sid had a lovely holiday away!
Mylo has just come back from his "holiday" with you and is extremely happy and contented. I don't know what you did but he is a much calmer and settled dog. We will not hesitate to leave him in your care in future. Thank you.

You are always met with a warm welcome and a smile when you arrive at Willows, Wags and Whiskers - generally by Deborah who works tirelessly to ensure every animal in her care is comfortable and extremely happy. With regular walks for the dogs, love and attention and even the radio to keep them happy there is a pleasant atmosphere for your treasured family member. I buy my dog food from here and it has to be said that the price knocks spots off anyone else locally, not only that it's Royal Canin, a high quality food which puts a shine on the coat and an extra wag in the tail!
