Balladen Community Primary School is a great place to be!
One of Rossendales best schools and colleges.
With a team of staff who are positive and extremely dedicated, Balladen school strives to provide the best learning and the best care to all of the children from the surrounding area.
We are a school who gets involved in all types of activities including the importance of sustainable learning through the Eco-Schools programme. We even have a gardening club to encourage the benefits of home grown produce and to encourage and promote healthy eating - Of course the good thing is that this is all good fun too!

We aim to provide a happy, caring and enjoyable learning environment to enable the overall development and education of every child.
We have some wonderful children at Balladen and it is of course those children who make the school so special. We work hard with the children to personalise their education through their individual needs and interests. All of the children are polite and well mannered treating each other with mutual respect and we have still have lots of fun!
The school has a direct link in with Balladen Children's Centre, providing family support throughout the community. The centre, situated at the side of the school also run adult learning courses including, dad's sessions, cookery and numeracy skills in turn helping the children long term with an extension of their learning and education.
We run additional clubs at Balladen which are a great opportunity for the children to spread their wings and get involved in something a little bit different.

Balladen school is also proud to be part of the Eco-Schools programme.
The Eco-Schools programme teaches children how to be responsible with the use of water, gas, electricity and other energy sources. So the children understand this the school have an Eco-board allowing the children to monitor on a daily basis the school's usage of electricity.
2009 saw the implementation of 11 solar panels to the roof of the school hall in January. These produce electricity, which is used in school during term time and which is sent to the national grid during the holidays.
