Each year the calendarâs cover photograph is chosen by an open competition which is decided by a vote of local residents.
From Monday 21st April until Friday 25th April all the photographs will be displayed in the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre mall.
We want local people to visit the display and vote for their favourite photograph.
The winning photograph will take pride of place on the cover of the calendar.
A panel will then select 12 photographs, one for each month of the year reflecting the four seasons and the wealth of fantastic scenery across the Borough.
So please call into the Exchange Shopping Centre and cast your vote. The winning photographs will be announced when the 2015 calendar is launched at the Hospice on the 21st of August.
Thereafter the calendar will be on sale at all the Hospiceâs shops and at other selected outlets. The Hospice is already planning the 2016 calendar!!!
Over the years the majority of submitted photographs have depicted mainly autumn and winter scenes, probably because the competition is run in March. We want you to start taking spring and summer photographs NOW so there is a better spread of photographs covering the whole of the year for the 2016 calendar.
