The Twickenham Alive Film Festival focuses on community films of up to 10 minutes from Richmond Borough (with a community category for outside the borough and a special category for students). The main theme is ‘Where You Live’ i.e. the films can be on any aspect of the entrant’s area, way of life, attractions, culture, sport or environment.

There is also a special category for students, which has been developed with local creative media lecturers.

Twickenham Alive aims to involve the Borough’s “Villages” and we hope to gain a snapshot of the Borough which can be used to increase the profile of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Films may be submitted by anyone, for example, individuals, community groups, schools, traders associations and students. Any genre may be used, such as documentary, drama or animation. Entrants in the student category may choose their own theme,

There will be screenings at various locations within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames with a series of events leading up to the final screening and an awards ceremony in April 2013.

Submissions are now being invited for entry in the Festival and the closing date for entries is 1st March 2013.

Twickenham Alive is also looking for supporters and sponsors for this exciting initiative. Publicity will include promotion via social media, websites, literature, programmes, banners and events connected to the Film Festival including the final screenings in April 2013.
