Whilst Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year you can still use it as the perfect excuse to throw a thrilling party for friends and family over the weekend to "get you in the mood"! So, here are a few spooky suggestions to help you make your party a screaming success!

For Halloween fancy dress and decorations thebestof Richmond can recommend two businesses – Joker’s Masquerade and Angel’s Fancy Dress.  Here you will find a fantastic selection of costumes to suit all – from Goth witches to Frankenstein to vampire lords. Both businesses also have a great selection of party supplies so you can stock up on all your extras such as cauldrons, broomsticks, plastic spiders and devils horns.

Halloween Cocktail: Brain Haemorrhage Anyone?

Honestly, it looks ghastly, but tastes wonderful. Shall I pour one for you?

To make the drink you need to:

  • 1/2 - 3/4 oz Peach Schnapps in a glass
  • Float 1-2 Tbsp of Baileys on top
  • Then drop 1 tsp of grenadine through the Baileys

And then ta-dah!

. . . and it tastes like Peaches and Cream!

For those of you who love cake decorating then now’s your chance to make some scary cupcakes like these and if there are any leftover you can offer them as an alternative to sweets for the ubiquitous Trick or Treaters.

If you decide that hosting a party isn’t your thing, then why not check out some of the most recommended restaurants in Richmond upon Thames to book your Halloween meal.

Halloween would not be complete without the Jack O’ Lantern so make sure you call into Twickenham Farmers' Market - every Saturday 9am-1pm in Holly Road car park TW1 to get your pumpkin and start carving! Don’t forget, if the lantern is lit then you can expect visitors demanding sweets!
