Wander down quaint old Church Street in Twickenham and you will find a range of excellent places to eat but none so fine as the bijoux French restaurant that is Raefils. The 3 course £14.95 set menu (see drop down menu on website) is truly wonderful value and was served beautifully by Agne. We ate splendid mussels, generously sized and baked ʼwith a twistʼ - which was the owner/chefʼs Samʼs secret recipe - followed by a traditional confit of duck, cooked to perfection. Itʼs so nice to find a good selection of wines, served by the glass, half bottle and, of course, bottles are available. Last but not at all least, we were tempted to complete our meal by the creme brulee. I must say, this is the best creme brulee I have found outside of Boffinger or Maxims in Paris! Lovely meal, great value, super service and all in a delightful French atmosphere. Do try it soon!
