The pre-design stage:
Forming a healthy relationship with a client is paramount to us. We begin by meeting you to gain an understanding of your lifestyle and your personal needs. At this stage, it is all about playing with ideas, looking through magazines and books, exploring possibilities and becoming better acquainted. Sometimes we discuss which elements of your interior you may wish to keep; identifying existing problems and bringing inspiration to enable you to see the potential of your home. We then articulate all this carefully to form a written brief, outlining the objectives and milestones of the project, based on our meeting.
Concept, planning and design:
In response to the brief, we would then formulate a concept that invokes an initial feel for your design, for further discussion. Once the basic concepts have been established and agreed, we would prepare a detailed presentation. Depending on the nature of the project this might include: floor plans, electrical layouts, lighting layouts, wall elevations, furniture and finishes schedules, joinery details and sample boards showing curtain and upholstery fabrics, floor and wall coverings and proposed furniture and accessories. A full specification document might also be provided, breaking down the costs item by item for you to use as a budget and purchasing guide.
Coordination and Project Management:
When you are happy with our proposed plans and designs, we can see the rest of the project through for you, from building works and purchasing furniture down to the positioning of final crowning touches.
We also happily provide a design-only service, which might be beneficial to you if you want to refurbish or furnish a property piecemeal. On the other hand, we offer a consultancy service at an hourly rate.
