Dear Sensei Debi,

First of all I want to congratulate you for your success in the fskauk and for becoming an LLP. I like the way you lead your group and motivate Karate pupils. It is a great joy to see my son Christian so enthusiastic about his Karate and it is certainly a reward for you, as a sensei, to see how he has made a lot of progress during his training with you. He also has become very fond of you and your group. We are moving abroad this coming July, which means Christian wont be able to attend your class the next school year.

Finally, I wish you continous success during the coming period and over. Thank you so much Dbei for being a role model and so making a very positive contribution towards Christians personal growth.

Sincerely yours,
Rosa

I am a teacher at a Junior School in Richmond and an instructor from FSKA came in to do a workshop for our Year 4 classes in order to assist me in the introduction of new sports to children. The instructor was fantastic. He taught the children about the meaning behind karate and introduced them to the basics of martial arts. The children absolutely loved the workshop. The instructor was very professional and enthusiastic and really ensured the children not only learnt alot but enjoyed it. The response from the children has been fantasic - lots of them are looking to follow up their new interest in karate following the inspiring teaching they received. Thankyou!

Funakoshi Karate with Sensei Debi (our instructor) in my opinion. is the best karate club there is. Why I say this? Well one day training with Sensei Debi and you will see exactly why. Sensei Debi is a brilliant instructor because she is very very very enthusiastic about karate and the most important thing in any sport is enthusiasm. Every training lesson, grading is always a joy to attend. Socialising with fellow class mates, practising together really does make things fun. Karate enables you to become much fitter and learn discipline. A year ago I made a testimonial saying how great training with Funakoshi Karate and Sensei Debi is, and now a year on I haven't change any thoughts. I have achieved my black belt, become a official instructor and I have realised a massive difference in my fitness over the year. I don't think there is much more for me to say... If my testimonial doesn't seem genuine, then come and join Funakoshi Karate today. Your welcome, always. Rushil 13 years old

My son has been going since he was 3, first in Pee Week Karate and now FSKA where he is a purple stripe belt. It has taught him fantastic skills and it is great to see him so committed to his karate training - he really enjoys the challenges and the team spirit.

My 6 year old daughter has been doing it for nearly two years now and has great fun copying her brother.

More and more mums and dads are joining in too as a great way to get fit and keep up with their kids!

They teach Karate to adults but mainly to children in a very positive and professional manner with motivation and encouragement flowing from the teachers. Discipline and respect are also taught in tandem to complete the whole.

"Karate has taught me how to be courageous" Spike K, 8 yrs old.
FSKA has given my son the opportunity to compete at an international level. He and his team came back with gold medals for their team kata at the 2009 World Championship in South Africa. I am so proud of them.

My daughter (6) has started about 6 months ago and has really enjoyed it. She was very proud when she got through her first grading and received her red belt. In fact it has impressed me so much that now I've started myself. Not only a great workout, but it's also important to understand the history and the philosophy behind Karate to be successful.

I started karate at this Karate school earlier this year, and have found it a great way to learn a new skill and to get fit. For the first time since the birth of my 3 children, I have a flat(ish) stomach and feel in command of my body. The teachers are all good communicators who know what they are doing and are able to convey their enthusiasm. I attend the "Mums" Karate class in Kew on a Thursday, and have welcomed the chance to learn in a sympathetic environment where everyone else is of a similar age and lack of flexibility! I have raved about this so much that my 6 year old daughter has just started karate and is loving it!

As a mother, whose son (Somar) regularly attends Karate (FUNAKOSHI: Shotokan Karate Association) and has done so for the last three years, I would like to promote this organisation and encourage you to send your child to it. My son has gained a lot from the initiative: self-defence, physical fitness, making new friends and self-confidence, while at the same time having a lot of fun!

This karate school offers well structured classes for young children of all abilities in a fun and enjoyable environment. The children focus on developing their fitness, discipline, respect and confidence. All this is delivered by proffesional, enthusiastic and dedicated instructors. My son started aged 3 with pee-wee karate and has progressed to Funakoshi Shotokan Karate, in which he is now a brown belt. I canʼt think of a better way to help me to bring up a young man in todayʼs society.

This is an amazing way to get fit, learn fantastic skills and meet new people. I started when I was 32 years old, and very unfit!! I have two children, and wondered how far I would get before I collapsed or gave up. But I didnt, and now Im a Brown Belt, and Im still very much alive!
I cant reccommend this style highly enough. It gave me confidence in myself and my tired, unfit body. Come and see how it could change you too.
