Funakoshi Shotokan Karate schools in the London Borough of Richmond offers skillful, professional karate instruction to adults and children aged 6 and over. We have many classes for children only.
Funakoshi Shotokan Karate is the result of decades of dedicated study, training and practise by one of the world's most accomplished and respected instructors, Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi (9th).
Now this powerful, elegant karate technique is available at Funakoshi Shotokan Karate clubs in the London Borough of Richmond.
What is Funakoshi Shotokan Karate?
Founded in 1987 by Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi, Funakoshi Shotokan Karate believes that good karate is more than just physical, and that all beginners must be taught the importance of character building through discipline and rigorous training.
This begins by perfecting techniques through repetition, and the spirit to fight is achieved as one gains more confidence.
Funakoshi Shotokan Karate can benefit the whole person - mind, body and spirit, by strengthening all aspects and bringing them into better harmony.
Sensei Debi Steven set up classes in the London Borough of Richmond nearly 10 years ago, drawing on Shihan Funakoshi's wisdom and expertise to offer an exceptional karate experience.
