From today, May 1st until 28th July 2012, Bassetlaw District is getting into the Olympic Spirit, with a full itinerary of sports, games and activities for local residents of all ages.

The Olympic Flame is being transported around the UK for 70 days between 19 May and 27 July 2012, ahead of the Olympic Games. The Olympic torch will be coming to a venue near Retford – take a look and see when & where you can see it and cheer it on.

Its been a busy year already for Lynx Black Belt Academy. As well as introducing new Martial Arts classes, they've recently held a Martial Arts Competition for Retford in support of the Bassetlaw Games and been voted one of Retford's Most Loved businesses.
