Its Love Your Lawn Week so we’re bringing you some more tips from lawn care expert, Ian Stephens of Lawn Master in Retford, to give your lawn a great start for summer.

Seed – Bare or worn areas of the lawn can be reseeded following the harsh winter weather. Over-seeding will help reduce weed and moss infestation.

Mowing - When starting to mow, don’t cut your lawn too short as it will stress the grass even more. Try to maintain your lawn at 1”-1.5” long and ensure the blades on your lawnmower are sharp. The grass will turn brown if they’re blunt.

From scarifying to remove moss, aerating to improve drainage, seeding to repair worn areas and delivering the perfect cut for that sought-after striped appearance, Lawn Master can work with you, or your gardener, to improve your lawn visit by visit. You don’t even need to be at home when they call.

Lawn Master's products are amenity approved and completely safe. Your local operative will monitor your lawn on every visit and supply an annual report, with a fixed price for the first 12 months of treatment, so your grass will grow but the cost will remain static.

And if you think your lawn is beyond help and you’re thinking of re-turfing - think again. Lawn Master’s Regener8 system can create a brand new lawn for you in just six weeks, at less than a quarter of the cost.
