Congratulations go to Rhio Blinston, a student at Retford’s Elizabethan High School, who has recently graduated to Black Belt 1st Dan. Rhio was awarded her Black Belt by Master Andrew Blinston, after a 3 hour graduation in the presence of students, family and guests.
Rhio, 12, has been training at the Lynx Black Belt Leadership Academy for the past 6 years under the supervision and guidance of her father, Master Andrew Blinston, the Chief Instructor.
When she was just 6 Rhio decided to get involved in martial arts, having seen other children learning martial arts skills and becoming confident and having fun. She has since been training 2/3 times a week both at the Doncaster and Retford Lynx Black Belt Academies in advanced programs of Leadership Training and Instructor Training.
Rhio assists in demonstration events, charity and fund raising events, participates in specialized seminars and maintains a professional role within the Academies. Over the past 6 years she has shown amazing perseverance and dedication to her training, her Master Instructor and to all at the Academy and she is set to go far.
When awarding Rhio her Black Belt, Master Blinston commented on how courteous, respectful and dedicated his daughter is and how parents and students say she is a credit to the Academy and to her parents!
