Shoppers and visitors to Retford will be pleased to hear that Bassetlaw District Council are extending the Backing Bassetlaw Card Scheme car parking initiative to the 31st October 2011.
Backing Bassetlaw cardholders who also have the additional Free Car Parking Card, can benefit from an hour’s extra free car parking when they initially purchase 2 hours. This can be used in both Churchgate and Chapelgate long stay car parks in Retford.
The extra hour makes quite a difference to a visit to town – the extra free hour means you can now take a coffee or snack break as well as having adequate time to shop without feeling under pressure. Fingers crossed that the scheme gets extended again!
