In a bid to help small businesses across the UK grow, the British Banking Association (BBA) set up the Business Finance Task Forces, which is made up of Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, HSBC and Santander, launched the Mentorsme portal in July and is also providing business owners with the opportunity to access free mentoring from a pool of trained bank mentors.
In the East Midlands, NBV is the only provider of this fantastic mentoring service, gives business owners in Retford and the surrounding areas access to these skilled and experienced bank mentors. NBV has already matched local businesses that are facing financial challenges and will soon be taking on board a new pool of mentors. This means that NBV is now looking to engage with business owners who are interested in benefit from support, which obviously includes financial expertise, but also a wealth of other relevant skills and knowledge.
Business owners in the scheme will be entitled to up to 12 months of mentoring support, with a monthly 2 hour mentoring session that provides clients with the opportunity to take a step back from running the business and focus on growing it. Your mentor will act as a sounding board for your ideas, plans and objectives and will provide honest and constructive feedback.
