A night at the theatre...

How long has it been since you spent an evening watching a play, musical or comedian?

With so many local venues holding regular performances, you have no excuse to stay in anymore!

Feeling a little peaky?

Retford Little Theatre will soon be playing host to Keith Waterhouse’s insightful, humorous play, Jeffery Bernard is Unwell.

A sell-out West End hit, Jeffery Bernard is Unwell is based on the trials and tribulations of real-life journalist, alcoholic, gambler and four-times married, Jeffery Bernard, who chronicled Soho life and offered his philosophy on women, horses and vodka in his weekly ‘Low Life’ column for the Spectator magazine.

The play takes place from July 6th until July 9th – please call 01777 702 002 to book tickets.

Laugh the week away

Every second Friday of the month, The Elms Hotel in Retford holds a fun-filled evening of stand-up comedians at the Bar Fly Comedy Club.

With the next event starting at 8:15 pm on July 8th, it’s like your own mini-Jongleurs in Retford!

Let the sunshine in!

On Saturday July 16th, The Majestic Theatre School is performing Let The Sunshine In 2011.

Featuring dance routines, comedy performances, well known pop songs and a live band, it’s sure to be an unforgettable extravanganza of entertainment from some of the region’s most talented young performers.
