The Reigate Christmas Extravaganza 2010 - Calling all local kids - if you're 6+, please donate some of your time for Charity
Every year, Reigate comes out in all its Christmas glory as the town centre lights get switched on.
The Reigate Christmas Extravaganza 2010 is taking place on Saturday 4th December -
Father Christmas will arrive by helicopter at 11.30am
Donkey rides will be in Tunnel Road to visit Santa's Grotto from 2pm-4pm.
Miss Christmas and the Christmas Children will dance round the Christmas tree at 4.30pm and the lights will be switched on at 5.00pm.
Amongst all that, Je Cook children will be selling yummy goodies made by them and all money raised will be going to a charity chosen by all the children involved.
On the menu are - Caramelised Chilli Nuts, White chocolate chip fudge, Christmas Muffin Mix, Melting middle truffles, Oat & raisins cookies, Mini florentines, Marshmallow crunch.
All need to be cooked, baked, measured, weighed, wrapped, tagged, priced and sold, which is why we need your help!
This is how you can get involved -
1- Next Saturday, 27th November, is Je Cook open day from 10am to 5pm, when we will prepare the goodies that have a week+ life.
The day is FREE to all.
All you need to do to come and cook with us is email us your name, a phone number and availability.
Please come along for an hour or however long you can to help out.
We will have a maximum of 5 kids at any one time and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
2- Everything else will be cooked in our normal classes on Friday 3rd December. (if you're not already booked, please do so now, by sending us an email. If you've never cooked with us before, your first class is FREE. Otherwise price is just £15pp. including a full dinner)
3- On Saturday 4th December, we need volunteers to help us man the stand, sell and raise as much money as we possibly can for charity.
We need 2 children at any one time selling our yummy goodies.
Our stand will be open from 12noon until 4pm and will be at the bottom of the tunnel, by the donkeys.
If you'd like to help on the day, please email us to confirm what time you can do. (it'll be good for learning about money and practicing maths and a good fun experience!)
This will be made possible only if we get enough volunteers to help, so even if you can't be there, please feel free to pass this on to your friends.
Thanking you ever so much in advance for all your help.
Bon appetit & a bientot
Maud
