Priory Park in Reigate is playing host to a weekend of open air film screenings this weekend (21-23 August 2009).

The Green Cinema Company will be showing the award winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ on Friday night (21 August), fun family film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ on Saturday night (22 August) and the all time classic romance film ‘Dirty Dancing’ on Sunday night (23 August).

Cllr Adam De Save, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: "Priory Park has hosted numerous outdoor concerts and makes a great open air venue, especially since its restoration.  So when we were approached about hosting an open air cinema in the Park we thought it was a fantastic idea.

"With an action movie, family film and a lighthearted romance to choose from there is something for everyone.  Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a film under the stars - what better way to spend a summer evening."

During the evening there will be a selection of local, organic food stalls selling a range of delicious treats including hog roast, burgers and even homemade ice cream.  There will also be a bar selling organic ciders and real ales, as well as soft drinks.

Tickets for the screenings cost £7.50 each.  Capacity is limited so book your ticket today to make sure you don’t miss out.  Tickets will be available on the gate if not sold out in advance.
