Relate Mid Surrey is an independent charity whose focus is on meeting the needs of the local community.
Our primary expertise is in counselling and advising couples, children and family relationships. We focus on understanding change through the various life stages, enabling personal development. When you understand yourself it is possible to build communication and interpersonal skills with others that previously would have felt impossible.
Counselling is about empowering people, enabling them to develop insights and skills to address their circumstances more effectively and creatively.
In Reigate, Redhill and Epsom we currently offer five counselling services;
- A consultation counselling service which is a one on one session with one of our counsellors. This gives you the opportunity to talk through a potential problem, reflect together and then to consider the most helpful way forward.
- Relationship counselling where we work with couples or as individuals, aged from 16 onwards. Here our counsellors provide insight and possible approaches to resolving a breakdown in a relationship.
- Family counselling therapy where our counsellors focus on the whole family system and its functioning. This process will enable family members to have their experiences and viewpoints validated as well as help family members deal with any identified difficulties.
- Sexual counselling therapy is specifically for couples where the relationship is sound but there are difficulties from a sexual perspective.
- Young peoples counselling where we work with young people (age 11-25) whose lives have been affected by family change, loss, separation or divorce. Our counsellors offer a safe place to be heard with the aim to develop coping strategies for the individual.
Relate Mid Surrey is a member of the Relate Federation and therefore works to its service specifications and standards.
