We are pleased to let you know the latest news from one of our favourite restaurants in Reigate, La Barbe on Bell Street.
Known and loved locally for its fine French cuisine and convivial atmosphere, La Barbe is the perfect place to warm up on a cold winter's day or evening.
Chef de Cuisine Laurent has unveiled his New Winter Menu.
It includes delights such as the spinach and egg classical dish Oeuf Poché Florentine.
Perhaps you know the reason for the connection between this dish and the city of Florence (pictured)?

Laurent has included another great classic in his new menu, Charlotte à la Banane Glacée Chocolat et Rhum. The "Charlotte", a creation of sponge, fruit and custard, was created by Marie Antoine (Antonin) Careme, one of the first celebrity chefs, whose culinary exploits formed the forerun to the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.
Antonin's fame began in the early 19th century - making a name for himself by baking Napolean's wedding cake and creating feasts for British Royalty. His souffles embellished with real gold also caused a stir with the Rothschilds.
La Barbe are planning their 2010 diary and are currently taking bookings for:
