Runway Extension Planning Application Could Go Ahead

Bookmark and Share

Gatwick Airport operators can allowed to submit an application to extend the North Terminal. Have your say here.

It seems the Government have decided not to hold a public enquiry over planning applications to extend Gatwick's North Terminal, which the Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign (GACC) had called for. Local businesses group Gatwick Diamond Business Association however welcome the news that operators BAA would be able to go ahead with planning applications.

By the sounds of it, there are two definite camps over whether the airport should be extended or not, from a business and investment in the area perspective and from the need to make sure habitat, both for humans and nature, is protected. Perhaps there are those also caught between the two.

We'd like to hear what you have to say about the proposed expansion of Gatwick by its new owners Global Investment Partners, and what concerns or pleases you about it.

Have your say, and email us here at The Best Of Redhill or The Best Of Reigate - it's something that affects us all in some way, so we might as well be part of any decisions made.
