The athletics track in Battlebridge Lane, Redhill, will host Sport Relief events on Sunday 21 March - and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council is inviting local people to show up and take part.
There will be a variety of distances to choose from, and participants don't have to run, but can walk or jog, or even crawl if that's the pace they can manage!
• 1 Mile – is a fun challenge for everyone
• 3 Miles – is the perfect distance for those who want to step it up a notch
• 6 Miles – is for those who really want to go the distance.
Events start at 10am, and there will be lots of stuff going on from sporting activities, children's fun, and demonstrations.
It's a great family day out, and is part of the national Sport Relief weekend taking place from Friday 19 March to Sunday 21 March 2010. Around the country people will be taking part in sports events to raise money, including the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile on the Sunday.
Alongside the mile challenges there will be fun activities for children and other sporting activities and demonstrations taking place, making it a fun day out for all the family.
Since its inception in 2002 some 1.25 million people have taken part in Sport Relief events throughout the UK, helping to raise over £75 million.
