The Bel Canto Singers are a Worcestershire 4 part harmony choir who have been singing together since 1990 but are always wanting to encourage new members. We will be performing in Bromsgrove at 7.30pm on 24th October at the Methodist Centre to help raise money for the church. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased on the door. Our Christmas concert will be held at St Laurences Church, Alvechurch on 3rd December. The £8 ticket will include a glass of wine or soft drink and a mince pie.
Bel Canto support local charities on an annual basis who benefit from the proceeds of our concerts. This year we are supporting Redditch Nightstop. We have also recently raised £860 for Ukraine.
The choir have a wide and varied repertoire including pop, jazz, folk, musical theatre, classical and choral. We benefit from the guidance and support of a professional Musical Director, Liz Green, and accompanist, Wendy Quirk. In order to sing 4 part harmonies we use sheet music so an experience of this would be beneficial, but is by no means essential.
Rehearsals take place in
St Johns Church,
Redditch,
B98 7PZ on Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
