Pilates classes are matwork based, and strictly limited to 12 places. Beginner, intermediate and advanced levels are available, and single 1:1 or 2:1 lessons can also be booked.
Pregnancy Classes
Pilates is a very safe form of exercise, but it is usually not advisable to begin classes during the first tremester of pregnancy. Those already taking part in a course of pilates should notifiy Christine is they fall pregnant. After the first tremester, pregnant woman can join one of Chris's specially designed Pregnancy classes, which contain exercises specially designed to keep the body agile and supple as the pregnancy continues.
Postnatal Classes
Pilates is ideal of women postnatally, as there is lots of strengthening and pelvic floor work. Women should wait until at least 6 weeks after the birth , and should have had their final check up from the doctor, before they resume exercise. Chris runs a specific class for postnatal women, who may bring their babies to the class.
