There are many things to consider before getting a tattoo
Tattooing is minor surgery so it is important that you do not rush into it.
Your health and well-being is our primary concern
Are you over 18?
Are you suitably healthy?
Have you considered the design fully?
Some people rush into their tattoos or are impatient when perfecting designs; these people may regret their choice and later seek laser treatment or a cover-up. Do not take tattoos lightly, they are for life.
Please talk to us, listen to us, and be patient when we are working with you on your design so that you get exactly the design you will love for the rest of your life.
We will never tell you that you are wrong in your choice... it is your tattoo... but as professionals we may suggest improvements or alternatives.

TATTOOING IS AN ART FORM - NOT A FASHION!
TATTOO AFTERCARE
Following your tattoo session do not leave the dressing on for more than one hour; then wash with lukewarm soapy water and dab dry.
We recommend Bepanthen or Hemlock & Tweed as our tattoo aftercare product. Many other products on the market contain drawing agents which can have a negative effect on your healing time and impede ink retention.
Rub in the aftercare product 2-4 times a day, in thin layers. Use sparingly and make sure all cream is fully rubbed on and none is left on the surface.
You will have a scab for around 7 days. This should be preserved as much as possible, as pulling any of the scab off can also pull ink out with it.
DO NOT rub, pick, scratch, or cover the tattoo too tightly. After the scabbing has gone you will be left with a silvery layer of skin which could take a further 2-4 weeks to heal completely.
DO NOT swim, bathe for too long, go on sunbeds, or put into contact with raw meats until healed.
Showering is fine, just be careful not to soak for too long or too hot, and dab dry.
PIERCING AFTERCARE
Remove dressing after 20 minutes (if applicable).
Wash with lukewarm salt water and clean with cotton wool buds (no more than twice a day).
It will take between two weeks and six months to heal, depending on the type of piercing.
DO NOT use other products such as Savlon spray as it can cause infection.
DO NOT turn, rotate, play with or poke your piercing until it is healed!
Tattoo Removal is a specialised process that can take several sessions to complete.

Definitely the best quality artists and studio in Preston- the shop looks really spacious and professional and each tattooist that works there has a different style.
The staff are great and offer the best advise, very professional about their work, the studio is well kept and clean :) I'd defiantly recommend this studio to people as I've always used it myself and am happy with the finished peices and the service.
Very professional from the second I entered the door to the second I left! Both tattoo's I have had done there are beautifully done and at a good price. One very happy customer who recommends this business to all :)
All the guys there are so accomodating, it's common to feel nervous before a tattoo but the employees and the shop put you at ease. The hygeine levels are very high, the tattoo chairs are comfortable, the tattooists are very focused and great at what they do and they seem to enjoy it.

Every time I have visited the studio I feel welcome. I have had both tattoos and piercings done there, mainly by Loz who is a wonderful artist and incredibly friendly. True Colours is the only studio that I will entrust with my body as they have never given me any reason to think them untrustworthy. My tattoos were made as a collaboration between myself and Loz, I went in with a design and he suggested improvements and drew a redesign for me which I instantly loved. I am also planning to have work done by Anthony and he has been nothing but helpful when suggesting the execution of my design. Each artist (there are four fulltime tattooists there) has a different speciality including black and grey, photo-realism, Maori, lettering & scriptwork, portraiture and old school and their work as a whole is flawless. They are inspired individuals and work very well together to form an outstanding studio which is clean and attractive. I couldn't recommend them any higher than I already do!

If you are looking for a tattoo no matter what the design or style True Colours is the place to go . The staff are friendly and welcoming with the outlook that it's your body with their art so they will always advise you of the best route to take including doing custom designs to your taste .. For Free . At the end of your artwork being completed you will leave satisfied with the service and work you have received. You will have exactly what you wanted and not what you were pushed towards as it's easy these guys will rise to the challenge to produce the artwork you want ...a tattoo is for life so they take it as serious as you do
True Colours is amazing, just had my first tattoo done by Norby and its so life like. They are very helpful and the shop is clean. Was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and felt at ease when getting the tattoo, i will be coming here for all my further tattoos. My boyfriend has also been here for a cover up which turned out brilliant.

Had the second two of my three done here, and would never go anywhere else. It's immaculate, the staff are brilliant, they take time to understand your ideas, and offer the finest service and care. It is a welcoming environment, and the work is incredible at good prices. Lovely place and people, outstanding quality.
Always a friendly welcome. Very clean and professional. Will discuss your needs and are bold enough to say if they don't think its suitable or the location could be better etc... Something that is rare these days, especially as there seems to be a craze of tat shops opening right now, but how can you trust these? Stick with one thats been around. Had a few done here and happy with them all :) Would I go back? Hell Yeah... And I try to push any of my friends that are thinking of having work done to them as well :)

came here for my first tattoo and the staff are great and make you feel comfortably, my artist i had was great and easy to get along with, which helped.the standard of work is great and at a good price to! i now have my second tattoo in the process of being designed im planning to go back here to get it inked!

I am very fussy when it comes to tattoo designs, having done all of mine myself, so when I decided to get one drawn up I had to do some serious research. After seeing some of his artwork, I decided to visit Tony, and he drew me up exactly what I wanted and it is almost completed. There are some amazing artist working in this tattooists and its a very welcoming environment. The staff are all friendly and the studio is immaculately clean, bright and airy, which is a must if you're going to be sat there for 3 hours having a tattoo done! Very impressed and highly recommended!
I was very impressed with the level of service I received at True Colours. My very specific custom design was drawn up for free and within a week of my enquiry and the quality of my tattoo is wonderful. I am very impressed with the skills of the artists and the level of attention to detail and after care the staff offer. Definitely recommend it over other tattoo places in Preston (not mentioning any names...). I live in London now but would still come back to True Colours to get the rest of my tattoo work done.
